Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Lemon yellow colour with golden highlights. Medium bubbles, persistent. Bouquet of roasting, roasted hazelnuts, toasted bread, notes of gingerbread. Good balance on a frank, full-bodied, low dosage and nervous wine. Fine and present bubbles, hint of minerality. Good length and complexity with toasted, roasted notes and a hint of peppermint and butter. A champagne more suited to a meal.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

This Extra Brut Premier Cru champagne reveals the incomparable expression of its terroir thanks to the 26 villages that go into its composition. The perceptible contribution of each grape variety is accompanied by a finely chiselled dosage, all of which is coupled with great balance. This cuvée has been specially created to accompany an entire meal, and has the gift of gastronomic ubiquity.
