Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Its light straw color offers a nice woody nose, with aromas of white peach and fennel. On the mouth, this wine is nervous, dry and has a nice envelope with a tense and savory finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Do you know ?
Built in the 19th century, the exuberant architecture of this château was to hide its cellars.
Domain and appellation
Château des Fines Roches
Located between Sorgues and Châteauneuf du Pape, Château des Fines Roches is distinguished by its appearance of medieval architecture with niches, battlements and mullioned windows dating from the nineteenth century. The estate has belonged to the Mousset family since 1832.
- Terroir: Spread over 45 hectares, the area is based on a floor of pebbles and a clay underground.
- Viticulture: The vines are on average 40 years old with grape varieties made of grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvedre and dormouse.
- Vinification: The vinification is done cold (16 to 18 ° C) in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged for 8 months, also in a concrete tank.
