Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
Pale copper yellow colour, limpid and brilliant. Open nose with notes of butter, fresh walnuts, pear and white flowers, hints of ginger and spices (curry). Supple, fruity attack with notes of fresh quince and apricot compote. Good balance. Rather full-bodied finish with spices and overripe white fruit.
Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Domain and appellation
-
With Original Vin Orange, Rigal proposes to combine pleasure and respect by discovering this wine which opens the way to new, healthier practices thanks to a limited use of inputs and more environmentally friendly. Innovative in its winemaking method, it is made from the Gros Manseng grape variety, which is the identity of the South-West.
It is a dry white wine made using the 'skin contact' method. it is produced by skin maceration as is naturally the case for a red wine. Durable, with the desire to pay tribute to the ancestral Georgian winemaking method dating back more than 5,000 years, which is the result of fermentation and maceration in jars called Qvevri. -
