Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Its yellow gold color offers a nose typical of compote yellow fruits and honey. In the mouth this wine has a good balance, of the envelope, and the freshness.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Style ? Dry wines are acidic, lively and fresh while sweet wines are soft and feel round in the mouth.
Do you know ?
There are two ways to produce sweet wines. The”easiest” way consists of adding sugar during the vinification and then to stop the alcoholic fermentation with suffers, a process called chaptalisation. The other way helps produce more qualitative types of wines and require to control the grapes ripeness in the vineyard.

The Montgilet domain is tied to the same family since its beginning in 1880. Passed once from father to son, this Loire domain claims a genuine savoir-faire.
- Terroir: The schist soil gives the wine minerality.
- Viticulture: Located near Angers on sunny and ventilated hillside, the grapes ripen early on. The harvest is occurring through different phases depending on the ripeness and sugar content.
