Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The oldest document concerning Pacherenc dates back to 1745.

It is an edict prohibiting harvesting before 4 November.

The grape harvest took place around 15 November, Saint Albert's Day.

Domain and appellation

  • PLAIMONT

A selection of the finest parcels of the appellation, located on steep, east- to southeast-facing slopes, benefiting from the gentle morning sunlight while avoiding the harsher afternoon rays.

The steep inclines provide excellent natural drainage for the clay soils, which play a crucial role in water regulation, essential to the optimal expression of Petit Manseng, particularly in late-harvest wines.
