Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is clean and crisp, characterised by aromas of red berries and hints of grapefruit.

The attack is supple, with a lovely roundness and harmonious balance.

On the palate, it displays a clean, rich character, dominated by red berries.

The finish is of medium length, leaving a fresh and pleasant impression.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • ULTIMATE PROVENCE

Set in a wild, rocky landscape at the heart of France’s largest nature reserve, near the Bay of Saint-Tropez, UP’s estate covers 46 hectares of vineyards, all classified as AOP Côtes de Provence and currently in the process of converting to organic farming.

The vines thrive on shallow, schist-rich soils, benefiting from mild winters and hot summers. Here, the teams craft expressive and delicate rosé wines.
