Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The open nose seduces with notes of peach, apricot, raspberry and a hint of citrus fruit, with a frank, typical and greedy expression, enhanced by a touch of grenadine.

The attack is supple, fruity and greedy, with a fleshy texture, carried by red fruit and hints of harlequin candy, with a little well-integrated sweetness and a fine finish.

The finish is greedy and sapid, full-bodied and long-lasting, fresh and smooth.

A charming, perfectly balanced rosé.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE ROYAL DE JARRAS

An "unlikely" vineyard that has conquered the sands, nestled between the sea, lagoons, and salt marshes.

The vines grow in the sand and have survived the phylloxera epidemic.

The domain’s wine production method has always been environmentally responsible:

    • The soil is traditionally cultivated, without the use of any herbicides.

    • To prevent wind erosion, a cover of rye protects the soil from October to May.

    • Over 5,000 sheep graze here throughout the winter.

    • Fertilisation is primarily organic.

The entire vineyard is dedicated to producing organic grapes used in our cuvées.
