Fruity and well-rounded

Partridge eye colour. A frank nose of fresh spices, small red fruits, finesse and balance. Supple attack with body, body and balance. Lengthening on notes of morello cherry kirsch. Typical frank character, peppery touch. Good persistence on red fruits.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

DOMAINE DE LA CABANETTE

Vinification: Tavel is a unique rosé conferred by a vinification process which completely differentiates it from all other rosés, and which is similar to that of a red wine: by a long maceration of 48 to 72 hours. After pressing, fermentations of 10 to 15 days are carried out at low temperature (13°-14°). It is made from a blend of free-run juice, which provides the necessary aromas, fruit, freshness and acidity, and press juice, which preserves its richness, structure and power. This skilful blend gives birth to this stylish wine, the 1st Rosé of France.
