Powerful bouquet
The nose is frank and open, characterised by notes of sweet spices, paprika and roasted peppers, with hints of mocha and subtle oak.
The attack is supple, underpinned by a fine balance and a harmonious texture.
The mellow tannins accompany a palate with a distinct character of roasted spices, with an elegant structure and no harshness.
The length is medium, with a fairly full-bodied finish, without astringency, dominated by notes of tobacco, truffle and cocoa.

Features

LA CROIX DE MONTLABERT
A bespoke approach with methods tailored to each plot: 16 vineyard plots planted at a density of 6,500 vines per hectare, with an average age of 4 to 5 years, in the commune of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes.
• Vineyard plots situated on very undulating terrain. • 100% grass cover: ploughing of the strips of soil between the base of each vine. • Double Guyot pruning.
• Manual green work: two leaf-thinning operations and removal of secondary fruit-bearing canes.
• Mechanical harvesting with on-board sorting on the harvest machine and optical sorting once the grapes arrive at the winery.
