Do you know ?

Located between fermentation and bottling, ageing is one of the key stages in the wine-making process. There are two types of ageing. The first, ageing in thermo-regulated stainless steel, concrete or resin tanks, lasts between 1 and 12 months. This system is preferred for white, rosé and red wines that are light and fruity to drink. The second, barrel ageing, can last from 12 to 36 months. While tank ageing does not alter the taste of the wine, the barrel has a direct influence on its aromas.

Domain and appellation

Château Corbin has belonged to the same family since 1924. Passed on from generation to generation through the female line, it is now owned by Anabelle Cruse (4th generation) and her husband Sébastien Bardinet. Even as a child, Anabelle lived through each harvest at Corbin. Then as a student, she came to the estate every week to share precious moments with her grandmother, Marie-Josephe Blanchard Giraud. Today, Anabelle realises that it was these moments spent together that gave her a love of the place, the vines, the estate... the whole of Corbin. Since then, through hard work and investment, she has been able to give Corbin back its soul, its strength and its richness, while revealing the prestige of its terroir. And always aiming for excellence.
