Fruity and crisp

The nose is straightforward, revealing aromas of blackcurrant coulis with hints of wood and vanilla.

Opening with black pepper, the attack is supple, offering good roundness and balance.

The wine has a straightforward character, with minerality and a long, fruity finish that lasts.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

FAMILLE MASSE

Fabrice Masse took over from his father in 2000, maintaining a strong respect for the work his father had done. His father instilled in him a passion for vine and wine, teaching him all he knows, and Fabrice is committed to continuing this family tradition as his father and grandfather did before him.

However, like each preceding generation, Fabrice also wants to add his personal touch and take advantage of modern work methods.

With the support of his uncle Roland, former manager and oenologist at the Hospices de Beaune estate, Fabrice has developed a vibrant trading activity. He purchases grapes and musts equivalent to 15 hectares to expand his range.
