Do you know ?
The Côte-Rôtie appellation extends over 3 communes (Ampuis, Saint-Cyr-sur-Rhône and Tupin-Semons) and covers 180 hectares. The appellation marks the extreme north of Syrah growing in the Rhône valley. Deep red in colour, the wines of Côte-Rôtie possess both great finesse and aromas, and often offer a fleshy and tannic feel in the mouth.

DOMAINE DE BONSERINE
In 2006, the Domaine de Bonserine was bought by the Guigal family in order to support the development of the estate, while remaining independent.
Terroir: The estate has a vineyard of 9 hectares in Côte-Rôtie and 1 hectare in Condrieu. "La Sarrasine", the estate's emblematic cuvée, is produced from the best vintages selected from the micaschist and gneiss terroirs.
Viticulture: The vineyard is mainly made up of old Syrah vines, called "Serine", giving small, loose bunches of grapes with a unique aromatic expression. The grapes are harvested by hand.
Vinification: The wine is matured in small tuns for 24 months. -
