Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is clean and distinctive, marked by blackcurrant coulis, candied black fruits and a hint of violet.

The attack is full-bodied, with supple tannins and beautiful balance.

The palate asserts a lovely, frank and distinctive character, then stretches out into a well-integrated woody and vanilla finish.

The persistence is sustained, leaving an impression of finesse and harmony.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE DE BONSERINE

A single-parcel cuvée sourced from this officially registered lieu-dit. It originates from a unique terroir of highly decomposed mica-schist.

The very friable and shallow soil gives the wine its structure. On the palate, it reveals exceptional finesse and elegance, marked by notes of violet, spices, and Havana tobacco.

After 24 to 30 months of ageing in demi-muids and new oak barrels, this cuvée can be enjoyed within 10 years following bottling.

Produced only in exceptional vintages, from 2003 onwards, in limited quantities of 3,500 to 4,000 bottles.
