Powerful bouquet

A dark, clear and brilliant wine with a black colour and garnet highlights.


The nose is frank and expressive, blending woody notes and candied black fruits, before opening up to cocoa, spices and a distinct blackcurrant coulis.


The attack is fleshy, carried by a beautiful envelope and a masterful balance.


The palate, frank and distinctive, expresses an aromatic youth marked by mocha and coffee, while retaining a fruity and spicy structure.


The finish, persistent and harmonious, prolongs the tasting with notes of black fruit and roasted coffee.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Domain and appellation

    This estate, acquired by the Castel Group in 2008, is located west of Saint-Émilion, between La Grâce Dieu and Figeac. The 21-hectare vineyard is planted on sandy-gravelly and limestone soils with asteriated limestone.

     

    This well-crafted wine reveals ripe, intense fruit, true to the appellation. Full-bodied, dense and silky on the palate, it benefits from perfectly controlled oak aging, offering beautiful balance and great precision.

     

    It can be enjoyed now, without the need for long aging.
