Powerful bouquet
Garnet colour with brick tints. Straightforward, racy nose of grilled spices, cherries and kirsch. Opens with roasted black fruit. Full-bodied, fleshy attack, well-balanced. Frank length with roasted notes, pepper, round, silky tannins. Undergrowth aromas. Good persistence.

Features

Terroir & viticulture: Of Cistercian origin, Blagny is a former dependency of the Maizière abbey, a little sister of Cîteaux. Vinification & ageing: Hand-picked in crates, 100% destemmed, cold pre-fermentation, aged 12 months in oak barrels, 30% maximum in new barrels, then 4 months in stainless steel vats. Average yields 40 hl/ha from a total of 1 hectare.
