Powerful bouquet

The nose is open, expressing aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and candied pepper, with a hint of green pepper and eucalyptus.

 

The attack is supple, revealing a slight vegetal touch that gradually becomes integrated, accompanied by a fine tension.

 

The character is based on pepper and cherry, with a slight bitterness and a hint of cocoa.

 

The finish is satiny and taut, with a hint of iodine.

 

Pleasant persistence, marked by aromas of red fruit au gratin.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

    Perched on its promontory and surrounded by a green haven, Château de Camarsac is one of the few Bordeaux wine estates that majestically embodies the name Château in its literal and historical sense.

     

    Since 2007, Solange and Thierry Lurton have been working with their teams to enhance their heritage while strongly committing to their climate footprint.

     

    With their team, they aim to share with everyone the heritage and history surrounding this ever-evolving building, despite its three-quarters of a millennium age.
