Powerful bouquet

Colour Dark brick colour with some tile-like highlights. Open nose of stewed fruit, dry garrigue spices (thyme, rosemary), notes of chocolate. Good balance on a full-bodied wine, quite robust. Straightforward with a character signed by cocoa, liquorice and garrigue, ripe tannins already quite melted. Nice tense and signed length.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Domain and appellation

  • ARAGO

    The village of Tautavel is ideally situated in the Roussillon region between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean in a region rich in history, which is one of the cradles of Humanity. Indeed, the 450,000 year old Homo Erectus Tautavelensis was discovered there in 1971 and its archaeological museum has become one of the most popular cultural attractions in Europe. The vineyard extends over 20 hectares of stony soil, on very chalky terraces and hillsides with a south-easterly exposure. The climate is regulated by the Tramontane, which favours the ripening of the grapes.
