Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and light
The nose is clean and crisp, characterised by notes of citrus and pomelo, before opening up to reveal aromas of red berries and a subtle hint of amyl.
The palate is supple, driven by freshness and a lovely balance.
The mid-palate is rich and crisp, dominated by red berries.
The finish is of medium length, fresh and fruity.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
-
Château Cavalier, acquired by the Castel family in 2000, who were captivated by the vineyard’s charm and its clay-rich terroirs, produces well-balanced grapes.
This large, sun-drenched vineyard is ideally situated between the Massif des Maures and the foothills of the Alpes du Haut Var.
It takes its name from the stream that runs through it and is distinguished by the aromatic character and minerality of its rosés.
