Fruity and well-rounded
Its light straw color offers a fresh almond nose with notes of mimosa. As for the taste, this wine is nicely-balanced, frank, fine and nervous with a nice crisp finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

The Saint-Veran appellation extends from either side of the famous AOC Pouilly-Fuissé and chain of Solutré. The vineyards, located in the west are marked by steep slopes based on gray marl soils while the vineyards to the east, based on more gentle slopes with soils, consist of calcareous marl.

Maison Jean Loron
Although Jean Loron was the first in the family line to practise winemaking in 1711, the maison was formally established by his grandson Jean Marie Loron in 1821. This brand is now an international success thanks to wines that are memorable for their consistency and longevity.
- Terroir : The house Jean Loron covers 135 hectares of vineyards spread over six areas between Macon and Belleville sur Saone to produce wines from 6 different appellations. The vineyards of the Saint-Véran Les Ombrelles are based on a clay and limestone soil.
- Viticulture: A contract established with more than 50 wineries guarantees optimum harvesting of quality grapes.
- Vinification: The Saint-Véran Les Ombrelles is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with lees for 6 months.
