Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Garnet colour with mahogany highlights. Straightforward nose of candied black fruit, with notes of kirsch and candied morello cherries. Opens with notes of cocoa. Supple attack with sweetness and roundness. Frankly greedy, with morello cherry confit, redcurrant notes and a frank, vinous length. Gourmet character, good balance. Dark candied fruit finish. Good persistence.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Rozès
Founded in 1855 by Ostende Rozès. True to their heritage, Rozès Ports are elegant, complex and well-balanced, and particularly generous and rich. As international recognition of its identity, Maison Rozès has been awarded numerous gold and silver medals in international competitions for several years. Each parcel in the vineyard is graded from A (top of the crus scale) to F, depending on location, soil, grape variety, age of vines, exposure to the sun and a host of other criteria. All the vines at Maison Rozès are classified A. The terraced vineyards are planted on schistose soil, which gives the estate's wines a rich aroma and minerality.
