Glenfiddich
William Grant created his first whiskies for christmas 1887 after saving money for over 20 years to buy two second-hand alambics as well as a land ideally located near by a water spring in the Deer Valley, “Glen Fiddich” in gaelic.
- Distillery: Glenfiddich distillery is located in the area of Speyside, Scotland.
- Elaboration: Made solely with Speyside malt, this whisky matures in american oak. It ages in Xérès barrels where it gets its fruit-driven signature with pear notes.
