Our oenologists' opinion

Vanilla, caramel and light smoked and iodic fragrances compose the nose of this golden Irish whiskey. Well-balanced, it is all about roundness and leave space slowly to a sweet taste combining with its power and its finesse. The length is frank, straight and refreshing.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

John Jameson was a descendant of a family that won many victories against pirates during the 16th century, and whose motto was "Sine metu", which means "without fear".

Domain and appellation

  • Jameson

Founded in 1780 by John Jameson, in Dublin, Maison Jameson develops whiskeys that stand out by choice, high quality ingredients with triple distillation. Since then, Jameson has managed to preserve its unique original taste, a heritage passed down from generation to generation. The Midleton Distillery is located in County Cork, Ireland.

    • Production: Jameson Select Reserve is an aged Irish whiskey, aged on average for 10 years in charred bourbon and sherry barrels. It is the result of a blend of limited production (Small Batch) grain whiskies and malted barley based whiskies (Pure Pot Still).
