Our oenologists' opinion
Colourless dress. Rather typical nose with fine floral notes, fresh aniseed and gentian. Good balance, roundness, small character but rather short finish on the alcohol, frank.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
The distillery producing Mamont vodka is located in Siberia. Called Itkul and founded in 1868, it is the oldest in Russia. It owes its name to the Itkul river which borders it.
Domain and appellation
Mamont Vodka is a real dedication to Siberia.
This distillery is the only one to produce alcohol from pure malt.
Production: Traditionally produced from malted winter wheat, it is distilled six times with pure water from the Altai mountains. The vodka is then filtered through silver birch charcoal to give it a fine, crystal-clear finish.
