Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Mahogany dress with bronze reflections. Open, powerful and fruity nose of white fruits, sugar cane syrup, hints of soft caramel. Nice balance, sweetness, frank, character on soft caramel, candied fruits, a hint of fresh liquorice.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Gun's Bell goes wonderfully with a ginger beer, ice cream and a quarter of pressed lime to get a flavourful cocktail.

Domain and appellation

  • GUN'S BELL SPICED RHUM 40% VOL

From a selection of Carribean rums ( Dominican Republic, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago), Gun's Bell is assembled in our cellars in Chevanceaux using a traditional and artisanal method. It then undergoes a passage in new American oak barrels for 4 to 6 month to develop woody, vanilla, dry walnut, toasted almond and smokey notes. Anber robe with slight golden reflections. Complex nose, dominated by woody fragrances and jammy fruits. After ventillation, pronounced notes of chocolate, cinnamon, cocnut, mandarine and honey appear with an elegant power. In the mouth it is supple and delecate, the primary flavours of sugar cane and sweetness mary notes of wood and chocolate, cinnamon and coconut. Finish is longe and flavourful. Tasting: pure at room temperature or in a cocktail.
