Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Nice fragrances of white fruits, fresh apricot, white peach and citrus fruit are released by this rum that is incredibly well-balanced in mouth. Its frank and full-bodied side allies perfectly with its finesse and its great freshness demonstrating a nice temper. Notes of vanilla evoking the caramel and a sweet taste are to discover.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Since 1996, the Trois Rivières rum has the label AOC (Appellation Contrôlée Martinique).

Domain and appellation

  • Trois Rivières

Company acquired by BBS (Bellonie Bourdillon and Successors) in 1994 and by the Chevrillon group in 2002, the distillery Trois Rivières operates 800 hectares of land south of La Martinique, in the municipalities of Sainte Luce and Rivière Pilote.

    • Distillery: Formerly distilled at Trois-Rivières distillery in Sainte-Luce, Trois Rivières rum is now produced at the La Mauny distillery in Riviere-Pilote.

    • Manufacturing: Elaborated from the only juice of sugar cane raised "feet in the water" on the sunny plot of Anse Trabaud in the extreme south of Martinique, this unique rum is characterized by its surprisingly mineral notes, Iodized, saline. You can enjoy it pure accompanied by seafood, Ti Punch or cocktails such as Mojito or Daiquiri.
