Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and light

Amber color with mahogany reflections, beautiful open and powerful nose without the aggressiveness of orange zest, candied mandarins, notes of acacia honey, white chocolate, beautiful balance, round, ample, the alcohol is well melted, beautiful finesse, nice citrus, notes of orange blossom, orange zest, a hint of cocoa, beautiful tender finish, greedy and frank.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

The Schrubb is a traditional punch served around Christmas time, but nothing prevents it from being served any other time of year. Severin use its best agricultural white rum to macerate fruits in, particularly orange peels accompanied by sweet spices and cane sugar. The house has given itself the pleasure of adding a few coffee beans for even more flavour and character, and a little lightly roasted "twist". A punch to consume fresh as an aperitif.
