Our oenologists' opinion

Complexity and frankness is waiting for you with this gold whisky that releases peated and smoked fragrances as well as scents evoking dried bananas. In mouth, the whole is well-balanced and controlled.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Only distilled whiskeys, raised and bottled in Scotland may bear the scotch name.

Domain and appellation

  • Muirhead's

Founded in 1824 by Charles Muirhead in Edinburgh, the company then specialized in wine. It quickly started selling whiskeys with it's iconic brand Muirhead's Blue Seal. In 2008 it was bought by the Tullibardine distillery.
    • Region: Highlands, Scotland.

    • Manufacturing: "maturity" was created in recognition of the quality of the barrels it selected, particularly for the maturation of its single malt whiskeys, as well as the aging time of whiskeys kept in its warehouses before bottling.

    • Comments Tasting: Elegant and extremely well balanced with hints of vanilla and chocolate cream that blend with the tannin of oak.
