Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Colourless and transparent. Open and frank nose quite surprising with blackcurrant bud, pineapple and passion fruit aromas, then spicy pepper and juniper berries. Nice balance, full-bodied, full, rather ample, frank character as curious as the nose with notes of wax, cinnamon, passion fruit. Long and tense finish with aromas of cut grass. Original! To be discovered.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
If, like Diplomático rums, it is produced by the DUSA distillery in Venezuela, Canaïma stands out as the incarnation of Amazonian nature. Of the 19 botanicals that make up the recipe for this gin, 10 come from the Amazon. These plants are hand-picked from the depths of the Amazon rainforest and then macerated and distilled individually in a traditional 500-litre copper still. Canaïma owes its herbaceous notes to seje and its aromas of caramel, ginger and coriander, to tupiro, also known as cocona, and to cashew nuts.
