Our oenologists' opinion
A nice mix of candied bitter orange and acacia honey is composing the open, rich and greedy nose of this copper-colored cognac Hine, promising a wonderful tasting. And indeed, in mouth, it expresses itself with complex aromas and notes of white pepper and dried apricot. Greedy, rich and round, its sweet taste eases its persistent, powerful and spiced finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Since 1962, Hine has a "royal warrant", being the only cognac provider of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Domain and appellation
It is in Jarnac, on the banks of the Charente, that the house Hine produces cognacs of exceptional finesse for over 250 years. Founded in 1763, it specialized in the production of old cognacs. Hine and Nicolas have mingled their expertise for over 80 years to create the Exclusive Reserves of la Maison Nicolas.
- Manufacturing: This area of 120 hectares including 70 of vines is on a calcareous soil. Hine XO is a blend of more than 20 cognacs from the Grande Champagne and the Petite Champagne. After a double distillation on the lees, the cognacs are aged in oak barrels.
