Fruity and well-rounded
Dark, clear and bright, with a caramel colour.
The nose is frank and distinctive, marked by notes of vanilla, dried fruit, dried apricot and honey.
The attack is supple, with a slight, well-balanced sweetness.
The palate stretches out with a frank and indulgent finish, affirming its vanilla character.
The finish is sustained, prolonged by notes of caramel.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation

From the Santiago de Cuba range, we already know the 11-year-old, the 12-year-old, and the 20-year-old expressions. Now, the 8-year-old makes its entrance!
As its name suggests, the brand is crafted in the city of Santiago de Cuba, in the south of the island. It emerged following the nationalisation of Matusalem and Bacardi after the Cuban Revolution.
Each bottle bears the green seal, symbol of the State guarantee, also found on boxes of Habanos cigars.
This 8-year-old rum has been aged in some of the oldest oak casks on the island, dating back to the early 20th century.
Light and festive, this rum carries the unmistakable caliente spirit associated with Cuba. It makes an excellent base for cocktails, bringing gentle warmth and generous flavour to every creation.
