Powerful bouquet

An open nose with notes of vanilla, apricot coulis, caramel and dried fig, with a hint of iodine.

 

The palate is well-balanced and greedy, with well-integrated alcohol and a modest body.

 

Its character is marked by candied yellow fruit, vanilla and a hint of smoke.

 

The finish is balanced and easy to drink, marked by a slight sweetness and hints of tonka, with a pleasant persistence on notes of chilli and caramel.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • The Abuelo 7-Year-Old Aged Rum is crafted from 15% cane honey and 85% molasses, which are fermented and then distilled. This aged rum from Panama is subsequently aged for a minimum of 7 years in small white oak barrels.

     

    Under the tropical heat and the watchful eye of the master blender, the Abuelo 7-Year-Old Aged Rum develops a refined aromatic profile and a distinctive flavor over the years.
