Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
Numbered bottle with silver wax.
Open nose with notes of mint, toasted wood, caramel, mocha and smoked wood.
The attack is round, greedy and full-bodied, with a character marked by liquorice stick, toasted coconut, black tea and leather, as well as a hint of dried mango, textured by wood tannins.
The finish is powerful, rich and sapid, with lingering notes of coconut, smoked wood and a hint of tea leaf.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Armagnac Delord
Prosper Delord founded Delord in 1893. Today, Jérôme and Sylvain, his great grandsons, continue the family tradition under the watchful eye of their father, Jacques. Our 45-hectare vineyard, dedicated exclusively to making Armagnac, is planted with four traditional grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle-blanche. It is located in the commune of Lannepax, in the Bas-Armagnac region of south-western France. Our wines are distilled in alembics fitted with "spider-leg" stills with continuous toasting, typical of Armagnac, ideal for making old Armagnacs. Our cellars include more than 1,000 casks and a dozen French oak tuns. The colour and complexity of our Armagnacs are achieved through long ageing in oak casks. The oldest vintages are kept in casks, protected from the light, in a room called Le Paradis.
