Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Henriot

Established in 1808 by Apolline Henriot, the maison is currently listed as one of the most prestigious Champagne brands thanks to an ancestral savoir-faire and a distinctive way to magnify the chardonnay.

    • Terroir: The Côte des Blancs serves as a cradle to the production of chardonnay.

    • Viticulture: The grapes are issued from selected crus of the Côte des Blancs. Mesnil sur Oger, Avize, Chouilly, Vertus, montgueux and Epernay stand among the most prestigious. Strict specifications are required to the different winegrowers in order to guarantee qualitative harvests. The chardonnay is cut according to the Chablis method. The vines are worked in a sustainable way and the harvests handpicked.

    • Vinification: Made of the Côte des Blancs’ prestigious grands crus and premiers crus, this Blanc de Blancs matures for 3 to 5 years in the domain’s chalk cellars.
