Powerful bouquet

Fine, delicate nose, marked by aromas of yellow fruit and acacia flowers, evolving towards notes of finely toasted bread.

 

Good balance for a fairly full-bodied, straightforward champagne with fine finesse.

 

Beautiful aromatic character with stewed fruit, candied ginger, hints of gingerbread and brioche, supported by a touch of chalky minerality.

 

Elegant finish, marked by the creamy texture of the bubbles.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • VEUVE CLICQUOT

    Founded in 1772, the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin house is part of the LVMH group. It owns parcels in 12 of the 17 grand crus and 20 of the 44 premier crus in Champagne.

     


    Terroir: The estate covers more than 390 hectares.

     


    Viticulture: Aware of the exceptional quality of its vineyards, Veuve Clicquot follows an eco-responsible viticultural policy aimed at preserving and showcasing its prestigious terroirs. The grapes come from 50 to 60 different crus.

     


    Vinification: The Réserve Cuvée consists mainly of Pinot Noir (50-55%), the house’s signature grape, which brings power and structure.

     

    Chardonnay (28-33%) adds elegance, freshness, and finesse, while a touch of Pinot Meunier (15-20%) gives the wine roundness and fruitiness. This superb cuvée includes 30 to 45% reserve wines.
