Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
Airy foam and good hold. Straw colour with bright yellow highlights. Straightforward, typical nose with hints of quince, citrus fruit and exotic fruit. Malted hints on the finish. Full-bodied and full attack, straightforward and well-balanced length. Good persistence.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
Situated in the Montpellier aggloreration, between the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, ZooBrew is a artisanal, innovative brewery which pushes the limits further everyday. Tasting: Citrus is the dominant flavour in this beer which is a hymn to the Australian Ella hops. In the mouth, the grains reveal the citrus side of the beer which reminds us of a lemon tart. Its frank bitterness makes it an IPA deserving of its name.
