Fruity and well-rounded

Its sustained crimson colour with purple glints brings out an exuberant aroma of red fruits, cassis, citrus and grapefruit. In the mouth, this wine has a nice balance and roundness. It is frank and well signed with a hint of violet and a crisp, savory finish.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

The négrette is Fronton’s flagship grape variety. Imported from Cyprus by the Saint-Jean de Jérusalem order in the XIIth century, it is today only produced in this unique terroir.

    Located in the heart of the Fronton appellation, the Bellevue Château is the largest Southwest private property of France. Its wines are annually rewarded numerous awards.

     

    • Terroir: Spread over 112 hectares, the vineyard has the distinction of producing négrette.

     

    • Viticulture: The harvest is mechanical or manual.

     

    • Vinification: Slow fermentation for 3 weeks in temperature-controlled vats precedes a stirring and aging on lees for several months.
