Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Deep coral colour, nice open nose of violets, lilac, notes of sour cherries, strawberries, fresh peppery hint, nice balance, full-bodied, round, rich and fruity, hint of sweetness, good gourmet length, sapid. Ideal with spicy dishes such as stuffed peppers, piperade, merguez...

Orange coral

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • The "Petites Recoltes" range is the result of a collaboration between Nicolas and cellars able to better use the land around them. Their specificity? A multitude of regional varieties associated with "traditional" varieties of Appellations for assemblies in search of fruitiness and freshness, that adapt to the desires and tastes of consumers. Nicolas' Oenologists annually assess the quality of new vintages and assemble them to give the best possible expression for the vintage. This exclusive blend, with method and rigor requires to be bottled under excellent conditions both from a health point of view, and with respect to the original quality of the wine. This technicality is guaranteed from the bottling places chosen by Nicolas.
