Our oenologists' opinion
Well-rounded
Black garnet colour with brick tints, opaque and glossy. Open nose with a bouquet of red fruits au gratin, dark chocolate and cinnamon, with a hint of blackcurrant coulis. Supple, round and greedy attack, supple and silky tannins, melted woody. Well-balanced. Satin finish, frank, greedy, elegant, medium persistence on red fruit gratin.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHATEAU LEOGNAN
The current vineyard, replanted in 1989, consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.
The omnipresent human hand gives constant attention to shaping the double guyot size. With respect to the environment, the analysis of its treatment is triggered by the knowledge of the terroir and the experience of the winegrower depending on the climatology.
The entirely manual harvest begins in October depending on the maturation of the grapes from each plot.
The "cutters" place the bunches in crates so as not to crush the berries and preserve them from oxidation until they reach the cellar. -
