Powerful bouquet

Straw colour with amber reflections. A frank nose of beeswax, opening up to quince, candied yellow fruit and a hint of nutmeg. Supple attack, sweetness, tension. Nice balance. Frank and greedy lengthening. On notes of honey and beeswax. Clear and persistent finish.


Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Born from the Celtic "ar" and "bos" meaning "fertile land", history speaks for itself. It was in Arbois, in 1878 that Pasteur carried out his remarkable experiments on fermentation. "The more you drink, the straighter you drink" (local saying).

  • La Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois

    Founded in 1906 following the phylloxera crisis, the Fruitière Vinicole d'Arbois is a wine cooperative created by 26 Arboisian winemakers. In 1969, it obtained the Château Bethany, in the heart of the Jura town of Arbois. It assembled a successful winery and winemaking facilities for the vinification of five Jura grape varieties: Poulsard, Trousseau, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Savagnin.
