Domain and appellation

  • Les Vignerons de Buzet

The history of the Buzet appellation illustrates the undeniable strength of wine cooperatives. Founded in 1953, the cooperative Les Vignerons de Buzet gave its eponymous wines a future when it obtained the A.O.C. in 1973.

Terroir: Covering 2000 hectares, the Buzet appellation benefits from unique climatic and geological conditions. The vineyards are planted on soils made up of clay, gravel, silty boulbènes and clayey terrefort. Some vines reach heights of over 150 metres.
Viticulture: The viticultural practices of the cooperative are part of a sustainable approach. All the plots have the Agri Confiance label, the vines are grassed and chemical fertilisers are banned.
