Our oenologists' opinion

Its purple color offers a nose with toasted notes, then peppers. On the palate, this wine presents a good balance, fairly full-bodied, with ripe and round tannins. Finale on roasted notes and spices.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

To preserve its fruity style, this vintage has deliberately aged inside of tanks. The result is a modern red wine.

Domain and appellation

  • Bodegas Copaboca

Bodegas Copaboca is located in the Spanish town of Tordesillas, near the city of Valladolid on the bank of “El Duero”.

    • Terroir: The 135 hectares of vines are located at the heart of the area “La Vega del Duero”, which is near the natural reserve of “Riberas Castonuno”. The Ribera del Duero is situated on the big northern plateau of the Iberian Peninsula, peaking at 850 meters. It is formed of a big ancient platform devastated. It is also partly covered of silty and clay sand.
    • Viticulture: To preserve this land of refuge for thousands of migratory birds, the bodega conducts its work in the most natural way possible to respect the environment. The domain has obtained the designation “Produit Natura 2000”.
    • Wine-making: The musts’ fermentation is done controlling temperatures. The wine rests in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit. The wine does not rest in barrels.
