Powerful bouquet

Fragrances of stewed yellow fruits and honey are to be discovered from this yellow-lime colored wine. In mouth, it is well-balanced. It has a great personality and is full-bodied. The finish is full of freshness.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Classified as First Vintage of Sauternes in 1855, the Climens castle is nicknamed the “Lord of Barsac”.

Domain and appellation

  • Château Climens

The Cyprès de Climens is the second wine of the Climens castle. It is made from a single grape variety, the sémillon.

    • Terroir: Vines are 35 years old on average. They are planted on 30 hectares on sandy-clay and ferrugineous soils and on a limestone substrate.

    • Wine-making: The wine-making is made in french oak barrels whose 40% are new. The aging, done in the same containers, lasts for 20 to 24 months.
