Our oenologists' opinion
Garnet colour with dark ruby tinges. Straightforward nose with fresh spices, roasted black fruits, prune. Fleshy attack, full, well-balanced. Straightforward, full-bodied length, with black fruits. Full body. Spicy character, on thyme. Beautiful character opening on leather notes. Clean finish. Good persistence on garigue aromas.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
Since more than 180 years ago, the "winegrowers heart" of Delas Frères has been expressed with demand and passion for the northern appellations of the Rhône Valley. The estate wines and the plot selections that result from them, highlight the House's policy focused on the quality of the terroirs. Under the leadership of Fabrice Rosset, since 1996, Delas Frères has started an important programme of investments: new winery, renovation of the aging cellar and aquisition of the vineyards. The recent aquisition of a property in the heart of Tain l’Hermitage allows Dela Frères to equip itself with a real showcase for the vinification and aging of its most prestigous wines. This new site, a place privileged to welcome customers, contributes to the reputation of the house. Hedonists and wine lovers have a unique experience between tradition and moderninity, nature and architecture, culture and serenity.
