Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Deep lemon yellow colour. Open and powerful nose of flint, white flowers, notes of white stone fruits, hints of iodine. Supple attack, well-balanced, full, fat, straightforward and tense character. Finishes on mineral notes.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

The Château de Beauregard has belonged to the Burrier family for 6 generations, since 1854.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU DE BEAUREGARD - Joseph Burrier

The conversion ot organic agriculture, the Château de Beauregard vineyards are distributed on te 3 villages of Fuissé, Soultré-Pouilly and Vergisson, which allows the cuvée 'Vines of Chaintreuil' specially reserved for the cellars of NICOLAS, to be one of the most representative of the typicality of the appellation. Manual harvests, pressing promotes the extraction of compounds from the skins of the grapes, conducive to aging. Half of the 'Vines of Chaintreuil' ferment in tanks and barrels. We are therefore looking for a balance favourable to the typicity of the appellation and optimum pleasure for its tasting in the first years. The young wines remind is of white fruits (pear and peach...), white flowers (acacia). The wine is fresh, mineral and balanced in the mouth with a touch of honey and grapefruit in the finish. In aging the aromas become more complex: butter, toasted bread and dry fruit, still with notes of honey and a fresh finish.
