Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Pale colour with green hues, still bright. Fresh nose of white fruits, fresh fruits, notes of fresh fennel, blackcurrant. Good balance on a straightforward wine, with a hint of warmth but a nice fresh character and finesse. Good crisp finish.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • BERTICOT

In the heart of the South-West, Berticot offers wines representative of its terroir. Today, the cooperative cellar represents 1000ha of vines in AOP Côtes de Duras and IGP Atlantique of which 150ha are organic. But Berticot has always been above all a story of people: it was founded in 1965 in Duras by winegrowers who wanted to get together to help each other. It was in 2008, and under the initiative of three winegrowers, that the organic adventure began at the Berticot winery. A responsible approach that has been passed on over the years to other winegrowers who are members of the cellar and which is now anchored in a global environmental dynamic.
