CHÂTEAU OLIVIER
From the knights of the Hundred Years' War to the philosophers of the Enlightenment, this ancient seigneury has seen a succession of men with very distinctive characters. A vestige of history, the wines of Château Olivier have been classified as Grands Crus since 1953.
Terroir: Spread over 60 hectares, this vineyard lies on gravelly soil with a clay-limestone subsoil. The Sauvignon grapes are expressive and very fruity, with aromas of peach and white flowers, while the Semillon grapes add fullness and roundness. Rich and vibrant on the palate, the wine has a deep structure, marked by tension and purity.
