Powerful bouquet
The nose is clean and distinctly Pinot-like, marked by aromas of cherry and morello cherry, before opening up to notes of blackcurrant and fresh pepper.
The attack is supple, underpinned by a lovely balance.
The palate develops with a clean, lingering finish, displaying a peppery, distinctive character and offering a lovely aromatic expression.
The finish is mineral, lending precision and freshness to the whole.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

In the Berthier family, the craft of winemaking has been passed down from father to son for five generations.
Clément and Florian, passionate about the art of viticulture and deeply committed to their family’s winemaking tradition, are determined to preserve and build on the reputation of the wines produced by previous generations.
They took up the torch in 2012 and are continuing the family legacy. 20 ha Coteaux du Giennois. 10 ha Sancerre.
