Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is frank and generous, revealing aromas of candied yellow fruit, bergamot, lime blossom and acacia honey, in a smooth and luminous register.

On the palate, the attack is supple, with body, good balance and a generous character, marked by white fruit syrup.

The overall impression is full-bodied, with medium persistence, punctuated by a hint of sweet spices and frangipane.

The finish is supple, prolonging the tasting experience with softness and roundness.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE BELLANG

A family estate spanning several generations (the estate’s genealogical roots in Meursault date back to 1789).

In 1974, Christian took over the family estate from his parents, whose vineyards were primarily located in Meursault, along with part of his father-in-law’s vineyards in Savigny-lès-Beaune. He was joined by his son Christophe in 1995.

Together, they expanded the estate with new parcels in Meursault, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune, and Beaune. Today, the estate is managed by Christophe and covers 9 hectares.
