Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Very pale salmon colour with pink sandy highlights. Open nose with notes of redcurrant, strawberry syrup and white pepper, frank and expressive. Supple, acidulous, crisp attack, with citrus and redcurrant notes, body, finesse, a wine for eating. Full-bodied finish, with red berries and spices. Good balance, good persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU MINUTY

Château Minuty is a magnificent estate located on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. This authentic Provencal property, dating from the 18th century, houses a chapel and an imposing Napoleon III building which are a delight to visitors. Terroir : The Château's vineyard, with a surface area of 70 hectares, overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and is made up of old Provençal grape varieties that have been rigorously selected and distributed, according to the nobility of the soil and its exposure, on the slopes of Gassin. Viticulture: The 65 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in the traditional way (no weed killers or pesticides) to allow the traditional Provencal grape varieties to express themselves fully on this terroir which benefits from exceptional sunshine. Vinification: Direct pressing, rigorous settling and low temperature fermentation
