Fruity and well-rounded

Deep yellow colour with golden highlights, clear and brilliant. The nose is open with notes of apricot, vanilla, blond grapes, sunshine and a hint of white pepper. Clean, fruity attack, extending the fairly firm, full-bodied nose. Character based on vanilla wood and ripe yellow fruit, mineral, taut. Fairly firm, sapid, frank finish.

Caractéristiques

This castle, which cannot be visited, belongs to the Ferret family. It was built in the 17th century and belonged to the famous poet and writer Alphonse de Lamartine.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • DOMAINE DE LA TOUR PENET

    The vines, about 50 years old, cover 14 hectares in the village of Péronne, north of Mâcon, on clay-limestone soils. Vinification & Maturing: Crushing and pressing of the grapes to extract the must, fermentation at a controlled low temperature. Aged on fine lees; bottled after 6 to 8 months.
